Description
The coastal vibe is accentuated with a tree-lined driveway, taking you to your private holiday retreat surrounded by native trees and birdlife. If you are looking for a peaceful escape, or a base to explore the Mornington Peninsula, this home is a perfect fit. Sheltered behind a sand dune from the southerly breeze, it is sunny and comfortable even in winter.
After a day leisurely fossicking on the beaches only a stone's throw away, relax in the luxury indoor/outdoor spa pool whilst gazing at the stars with glass of wine in hand...
The space:
The large main living spaces open up to the north-facing entertaining area, the well-appointed kitchen is complete with breakfast bar and a large dining area.
A separate mezzanine living area hosts a large flat-screen TV, library, and adjoining private deck to soak up the afternoon sun.
The large rumpus room at the north end of the house is a perfect set-up for families. Children’s noise and toys are contained, with flat screen TV and children’s toys, books and games provided. The rumpus room is visible (through the large windows) from the main living and kitchen area – so that you can see your children and still maintain a relaxed atmosphere in the main lounge area.
Take advantage of the under-cover heated spa all year round, complete with hot outdoor shower to wash off the day at the beach.

Vin P - 10th December 2024Spent 4 nights here and had a great time. short drive to St Andrews Brewery and not too far from the RACV Cape Schank resort. The outdoor spa was a great hit and helped entertain my daughter on coldish days.

Sarina L - 23rd August 2024Absolutely loved our stay, it was warm and cosy with central heating throughout the house. The location was perfect, quiet, private & the outdoor space is wonderful too looking out at nature. Only a short walk to the local coffee shop & a bonus yoga studio. We were lucky to be there to see the aurora - laying out under the stars was just magic. Communication was great, and there was a nice little welcome book with all the house details to get us settled. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Suzanne A - 15th July 2024We had a wonderful stay and although the weather was cool, the hot tub was a wonderful way to spend time outdoors. Lots of space for the family as well as books and games to keep us occupied indoors. Thanks for sharing.
We had a fantastic long weekend at Birdsong Hideaway!
Lara C - 9th July 2024The house was a great size plenty of space for our group of 4 adults & 4 kids. Loved the bonus playroom down the hall away from the main living space! We went in the middle of winter so the hydronic heating & split systems were very much appreciated, as was the generously proportioned spa which was already heated on our arrival. Location was great, not too far from Melbourne, close to some lovely coastal walks & we loved the fish & chip joint too.

Jacinta T - 16th January 2024A quick note to say my holiday stay was great. The house is perfect for two small families to share and everything you need for a weekly stay is provided. The beds are super comfortable and all the amenities are at arms reach. The spa was a hit and the orientation of the deck and yard beckons everyone outside. Super great stay. Thanks again!
